Cross Packing

"Most travel is best of all in the anticipation or the remembering; the reality has more to do with losing your luggage." Regina Nadelson

This is not packing in a temper ;-)
(Which is not to say that this never happened!)

When we flew I made sure that we ‘cross packed’. In other words, each suitcase held a mix of each of our clothes and belongings.

  • It took little effort to do

  • It meant that the kids didn't argue (ish) about whose case they were carrying because what they carried were all mixed up anyway.

  • I also divided the toiletries between the three cases so at least we always had something of the basics

While the girls could probably have worn each other’s clothes I would have been a bit stuck had my bag gone astray.
