Gap Year Shopping
"Own only what you can carry with you; Let your memory be your travel bag." Alexander Solzhenitsyn
Shopping - don't you love it? And it's something that we here in the UK have got down to a fine art. Bored on the weekend? Let's go to the shops. Sad? Let's buy a treat. Want to celerbate? Buy something!
Problem is if you go shopping on a gap year you have to really really sure you want it as you will have to carry it with you for the next however many months.
There were many times when we were all bored and the weather was grotty (too hot) and the only thing I could think of doing was shopping but the only thing we usually bought was clothes and at one point we ended up with 17 T shirts between the two children. INSANE!!!!!!!!!
